The "Black Guy" Versus the "Woman"

Let's face it, people. While we hate to admit it, America is not ready for any minority to hold the position of President. While my vote goes to Obama, since he is the most intelligent of all candidates, he does not stand a chance of winning. Even though he is not completely black, he is not white, and we will hold that hold that against him. Even if he were 'pure' white, the fact that his middle name is Hussein is enough for any ignorant American to discriminate against him.

As for the other minority, the "woman," Hilary is trying too hard to prove she's just as manly as any other of her colleagues. I don't blame her, women have always been marginalized in every aspect of society. But she should appease that 'tough' image she portrays. She was not strong enough to leave Bill when he was unfaithful - but then again, why would she? She can't find a better man than Bill. Nevertheless, Hillary will never shed her image of being the cheated wife of former President William Clinton, also known as Monica's ex-boyfriend.

America has yet to see even a minority vice-president. America is not ready to let go of its traditions.

GOD Bless them for trying, but these two are just fooling themselves. They stand no chance against the boring rich, white, Anglo-saxon, Christian, guy who is married to a prude. Dumb as the next president will be, it will be his "white privelege" that affords him the president election.

"Blackness" is the systemic deterrence of prosperity of groups without "white privilege." This includes Jews, Eastern Europeans, Asians, Hispanics, Indians, Blacks, Arabs, Natives, gays/lesbians, the poor, the disabled, and many times women. For example if a Hispanic woman is promoted in her job, we tend to attribute her success to sheer luck rather than acknowledging her merit.

We are in denial because of our comforting belief that America is characterized by the principle of political and social equality for all, and we fail to see that this is a pseudo-democracy. The current Vice President Dick Cheney evades topics of his own lesbain daughter. If Dick were a black man, we would attribute his avoidance of his daughter because of his "black" nature. We are too politically correct to adequately address issues of equality, be they gender, race, socioeconomic status, or what have you. It is our devotion to individualist rhetoric and moralistic judgements that prevent us from addressing the intentional and unintentional policy choices that Americans have created for Americans.
